Why do you want what you want?

Take care of yourself this week. Some ideas to get ya started:

  1. Wear clothing that makes you feel the way you want to feel. Examine your wardrobe, is there a piece that would make life more comfortable? Would getting your pants tailored make them more wearable? Would a rain jacket be super useful? Think, and get what you need.

  2. Get the amount of sleep you need. If this means canceling plans or going into work late tomorrow, do it. Lay in bed all weekend if you need to. Veg out.

  3. Cook a good, hearty meal for yourself. Drink wine. Light candles. Turn on your favorite music.

  4. Reflect. Through music, prayer, meditation, long walks in nature, however you want — just turn inward and unplug for a while. Make a point to do it regularly.

  5. Get a massage.

  6. Make art. Express yourself through some physical form.

  7. Do whatever you need to do.

  8. Do that thing you’ve been meaning to do.

  9. Go on an adventure. Go to the mountains, swim in the sea. Climb a tree. Try that new coffee place. Go to the movies. Go on a date.

  10. Forgive. Forgive. Forgive. Always, forgive.
